When interparticle of liquid is heated what will happen

If a liquid is heated,so there will be increase in the temperature. And as the temperature increase the kinetic energy of molecules also increases and hence the inter particle distance also increases. 

Then the inter particle spaces become larger and get increase due to which the liquid will get convert into gaseous state .;
