The compensation point is the point reached in a plant where the rate of photosynthesis is equal to rate of respiration. Carbon dioxide released from respiration is equal to  that taken during photosynthesis.The compensation point is reached when the light intensity increases on the surface of the plant and then the gas exchange becomes null.So The compensation point is expected to reach in a plant on a sunny day.
