1.Force can slow down or completely stop a moving object. 

Eg . A moving toy car can be made to stop by applying a force.

2..Force can change the direction of a moving object.

Eg . In cricket, when a batsman hits a ball that is bowled at him, the direction in which the ball is moving changes.

3.Force can make a stationary object move or make a moving object move faster.

Eg . A stationary football can be made to move by giving i a small push or by kicking it.

The Effects of Forces. A force acting on an object may cause the object to change shape, to start moving, to stop moving, to accelerate or decelerate. When two objects interact with each other they exert a force on each other, the forces are equal in size but opposite in direction.
