When j.j thomson discovered cathode rays in disharge tube. Did the anode rays also travel in the same discharge tube at the time when cathode rays are travelling
If not then what is main reason that why are anode rays not travalling

Plzzz answer if you really know and sure.

Answer:

yes they were also travelling in the tube but since there was a not a way of separating them electrolytically therefore JJ Thomson was not able to differentiate between them clearly
