Liquids hold sufficient intermolecular force of attraction to hold the molecules together but not as much as to keep the molecules constant at a definite place or in a definite position. The molecules of liquids have more intermolecular spaces among them and have the ability to slide over each other. Thus, when spilt, liquids move continuously in an irregular motion.
