when metal treated with mineral acid hudrogen gas is liberated but when metal is treated with hno3 hydrogen gas is not liberated why?

when metal treated with mineral acid hudrogen gas is liberated but when metal is treated with hno3 hydrogen gas is not liberated because hno3 is also in the form of hydrogen

Because HNO3 is highly oxidising so insted oh hydrogen ,oxide of hydrogen is formed except when it 99%dilute solution reacts with Mg or Mn
