When Nabil's age was same as Shuva's present age, at that time Nabil's age was twice as Shuva's age. When Shuva's age will be same as Nabil's present age, sum of their age will be 63. What is the present age of each one?

Let X and Y be the past ages of Nabil (A) and Shuva (B).

So,

When X= B (1)

A= 2Y (2)

Thus,

A+B =63

A-X= B-Y

Now just simplify it further and you'll get the ages of A and B.

When Nabil's age was same as Shuva's present age, at that time Nabil's age was twice as Shuva's age. When Shuva's age will be same as Nabil's present age, sum of their age will be 63. The present age of each one is 25.2 years and 12.6 years.

Given,

Let the age of Nabil be = x

And the age of Shuva be = y

From given, we have,

x + y = 63 .......(1)

y = 2[ y - (x-y) ]

y = 2(2y-x)

y = 4y - 2x

3y - 2x = 0 .......(2)

Solving (1)  and (2), we get,

x = 37.8 years

y = 63 - 37.8 = 25.2 years

Therefore, the age of Nabil is 37.8 years

The age of Shuva is 25.2 years

When Nabil is at the age of Shuva = 25.2 Years ,

age of Shuva is [25.6 - (37.8 -25.2)] = [ 25.2 - 12.6] = 12.6 Years

At that particular time age of Nabil is 25.2 which is TWICE the age of Shuva which was 12.6 Years.
