the number of jambhul trees planted be x + 60

Ashoka trees be x

x + x + 60=200

2x+60=200

2x=200-60

x=140/2

x=70

Question:-

When planting a forest , the number of jambhul trees planted was greater than the number of ashoka trees by 60. If there are altogether 200 trees of these two types how many jambhul trees were planted?

Solution:-

\boxed{\rm{\orange{Given \longrightarrow }}}

  • the number of jambhul trees planted was greater than the number of ashoka trees by 60.
  • Total trees = 200

\boxed{\rm{\red{To\:Find\longrightarrow }}}

  • The number of jambhul trees.

\boxed{\rm{\pink{Explanation\longrightarrow }}}

Let the number of jambhul trees planted be x.

 So, Number of ashoka trees = x – 60

According to the given condition,

\sf\red{↬}x + x – 60 = 200

\sf\pink{↬}2x = 200 + 60

\sf\green{↬} 2x = 260

\sf\orange{↬}x =\dfrac{260}{2} = 130

<strong> </strong>\green{ \underline{ \boxed{ \sf{130}}}} jambhul trees were planted.
