when propane is heated with con.H2SO4 it produces a compound which decolourises bromine water. the compound B adds one molecule of H2 In presence of nickel as catalyst to form a compound C which gives substitution reaction with chlorine. identify A, B & C.

B=any alkene like ethene when one add a h2 to ethene it become ethane which is an alkane and it gives substitution reaction thus copound C= any alkane formed from alkene
