when should we pronounce 'The' as "Thuh" and when "Thee"

When “the” comes before a word beginning with a vowel sound, it is pronounced (thee) {With a longer "e" : For instance, The End.


When “the” comes before a word beginning with a consonant sound (letters except a,e,i,o or u, it is pronounced as “Thuh.” For example, The train.
