when silk is burnt they smell like burning hair .however when cotton is buent it smell like burning paper . why

cause silk and wool are animal product which contains protein while cotton is a plant product,contain cellulose

As silk is an animal product, it contains protein which our hair contains too..,so that's why burning silk smells like buring hair while cotton is a plant product,containing cellulose it smells like a burning paper whlie burning it....
