When strong/high speed wind blows, an umbrella held upright at times gets upturned. Explain the reason. [NCERT Exemplar]

The reason is that the umbrella is supported by small and thin wires of iron which don't have a higher strength but the are arranged in such a manner that they become flexible

When the high speed wind blows the strength of iron becomes less than the pressure created by wind and hence the umbrella gets upturned
