When sugar dissolves in water, it disappears. That means it must have changed into a new substance. Therefore, dissolving is a chemical change. Do you agree? Give Reasons.

it is not a chemical change as sugar is not completely dissolved as liquid matter has space between them and sugar is just attracted between them. it can be brought back by evaporation and also by distillation. hope it helps you any query just text. Liked it plz rate it the braniest.

no because, when it disappears it is a physical change as there is no change in its chemical composition. Another major reason is that it can be obtained in its crystal form by process of distillation. And in chemical change a new substance is formed and the original substance cannot be obtained in its original form by any process.
