When sugar is dissolved in water ,there is no increase in volume .Which characteristics of matter is illustated by this obsevation ?

water is liquid
in liquid the molecules are standing in some distance
the sugar is dissolved when we stir it but it goes between the two molecule of water it doesn't dissolve completely when their is less quantity of water and quantity of sugar is large than water
