Test to determine the saturation of the sodium chloride solution.

Explanation:

  • Take 20g of sodium chloride in a beaker and add 100ml of water to it and mix it thoroughly.
  • When the solution doesn't accepts more than 20g of sodium chloride (Solute), it is considered a saturated solution.
  • On the other hand, if the solution accepts more than 20g of sodium chloride, it is considered an unsaturated solution.
  • In the given case formation of crystals indicate that the solution is saturated whereas non-formation of crystals indicates that the solution is unsaturated.
