sound do not depent on temperature
AkshitNair:
Technically... temperature affects the speed of sound. c is the speed of sound and T is the temperature of the air. One thing to keep in mind is that this formula finds the average speed of sound for any given temperature. The pitch of woodwind instruments goes up, when the temperature goes up.

I was reading a textbook. I found that it was mentioned the speed of sound increases with increase in temperature. But sound is a mechanical wave, and it travels faster when molecules are closer.
But an increase in temperature will draw molecules away from each other, and then accordingly the speed of sound should be slower.
