The phrase of the ‘declaration of Independence’, “All men are created equal.” is taken from the Bible.

In this phrase it illustrates that the creation of God is equal to all and none has the right to refute against the wish of God. God created ‘human beings’ in his own form and HE wished all of them should be equal and no difference should prevail between the politician and the layman.

That’s why it is mentioned that all are ‘created equal’ and the ‘rights for them’ also are equal.
