Doesn't matter what the first die is, even or odd. The chance of the second die being the opposite is 1/2.
Another approach: make a matrix of 6 boxes x 6 boxes, 36 boxes total. The columns represent the throw of die #1, rows represent die #2.
Color the boxes with one odd & one even outcome.
It will look like a checkerboard. 18 colored squares.
18/36 = 1/2.
