giriDiksha: tooth enamel is made up of calcium phosphate and is the hardest substance in the body if the pH inside the mouth decrease is below 5.5 they decay of tooth enamal begans this happen when the bacteria present in our mouth work on the left over food particles and produce acid the best way to prevent this is to clean mouth after eating food To prevent tooth decay toothpaste ( basic) re used which neutralize the excess acid

When the ph of our mouth is 5.5 or lower,it means a acidic medium is created in our mouth.

Acidic medium provides bacteria's to act....the food left over in our month stars breaking down to form sucrose and hence,tooth decay stars taking place.

tooth enamel is made of calcium phosphate which is the hardest substance in human body. however it gets corroded when ph of mouth is lower than 5.5 .upon its corrosion bacteria present in the mouth ( which feed on food particles stuck between the teeth ) start attacking the dentine and the pulp causing pain and irritation
