When the sun is near the horizon during the morning or evening it appears reddish phenomenon response?

Its beacuse of atmospheric refraction, dispersion, reflection , scattering .

Since wavelength of red light is max. so the amount of refraction is very low and its not being scattered much.

So in our eyes lights of longer wavelength reaches quickly i.e. red light , or yellow light than Violet or blue.

Hence it appears reddish in colour.
