Yes you are right...

momentum = mv

if v is doubled,     =2v

momentum = m2v

                   = 2mv

momentum is doubled...

As the velocity has been doubled then surely there would have been an acceleration and for acceleration there would have been a force applied on the object these are the two things that happened on the object now the effects are the momentum of the object will get doubled it will travel double the distance in same time is it at used to travel before being the velocity being doubled .The momentum of the object will get the doubled consequently it will apply double the impulse. If you project this particle giving some charge in some magnetic field such that the velocity of the particle is perpendicular to that of the magnetic field and any other field is absent then the radius of the trajectory traced by the particle will also get doubled. Kinetic energy of the particle will get 4 times. Energy of the particle will increase more ,precisely inertia of motion. Energy required to stop the motion of the particle will become 4 times .
