When two equal and opposite forces act on an object ,it will be observed that:?

It depends on where the forces act on the body.

But one thing is for sure. There will be no linear displacement of the body.

If the forces act on the same point then the body will not move at all, because the forces will cancel each other out.

If, however, the couple acts at different points, then they will produce some torque and give the body some angular velocity, causing it to spin- while remaining at the same position.

Physics sure is interesting eh?
