The National Development Council (NDC) or Rashtriya Vikas Parishad is the topmost organization for decision making and contemplations on matters of development in India. It is presided over by the Prime Minister of India. It was established on 6 August 1952 with an aim to nourish and mobilize the resources in support of any plan, to receive co-operation from the states in the execution of any plan and advocate balanced development in the country.
