The name of the Mughal emperor scraped away from the coins in the year 1849

The Company wanted to bring an end to the Mughal empire. So, in the year 1849, the first thing they did was that they remove the name of the Mughal king from the coins produced by the company. The name of the king was Bahadur Shah Zafar. Then, they declared that Bahadur Shah Zafar would be the last Mughal king and his family will leave the red fort after his death.
