When was the right to information act implemented.how does it act as the watch dog of democracy?explain (own explanation pls )

The right to information act was implemented on 15 June 2005.In a democracy the best laws are those which empower people to carry out democratic activities.

RTI act was implemented on 15 June 2005. It acts as a watch dog of democracy because it allows the people or the citizens of the country to get all the information about the working and decision making process of the government. It (democracy) also asks for public opinion for the running of the government.
