When was the term Industrial Revolution first coined ?

A French socialist called Babeuf used the term industrial revolution for the first time. The process began in 18th century in England. Till then a domestic system of production of goods operated in Europe. It was popularised by Sir Arnold Toynbee(1852-82) to describe England's economic development.

This process began in Britain in the 18th century and from there spread to other parts of the world. Although used earlier by French writers, the term Industrial Revolution was first popularized by the English economic historian Arnold Toynbee (1852–83) to describe Britain's economic development from 1760 to 1840.
