when water kept in a earthern pot becomes cool in summer.why?

The Earthen pot have pores in it .The air passes through the pores nd causes evaporation.This will evaporate the surface water .

the earthern pot has small pores through which the liquid inside the pot evaporates.this evaporation makes the water inside the pot cool. in this way,water kept in an earthern pot becomes cool during summer
