When we add 0 to a number than the result is the same number. Hence 0 is called the additive identity. Adding zero means adding nothing in short. Let me give an example to elaborate more:

Consider you have 4 Mangoes, And I gave you zero mangoes means nothing, then How many mangoes will you be having?

You will be having 4 mangoes.

Mathematically we can write this example as:

4 + 0 = 4

Therefore, When zero is added to any number then the sum is the same number.

Hi there!

When we add zero to a number the result will be the same number.

If we add zero to any number, it means we are not adding any number to that number.

Example,

0 + 17 = 17

60 + 0 = 60

Thankyou :)
