An adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun. It gives information about colour, size, characteristics, quality and quantity of a noun and pronoun. So there are different adjectives of quality are:-

  1. Positive Degree
  2. Comparative Degree
  3. Superlative Degree

1)ex:-Safal is a tall boy(Positive degree)

=In this sentence the quality of safal is that he is tall but this quality is not compared with anyone. So,tall is expressed in positive degree

2)Safal is taller than Nilesh

=In this sentence Safal's quality is compared between Safal and Nilesh. So,taller is here comparative degree

3)Safal is the tallest in our group.

=In this sentence Safal's quality of tall is compared with a group(more than two people) . So,tallest is here superlative degree.
