when we create a backup between two substance,they usually join together. Then, if there is a vacuum between the planets, what prevents them from joining together?​

Answer:

The force of gravitation between the two planets prevent them from joining. Since each of the two planets is attracting the other towards itself, both the planets balance each other's  force of gravitation. Hence, both the planets are stationary at a fixed position.
