when we cut the trees trunk then its roots are left in the forest so why the trees are not able to bind the soil do they get loose or its something else

because the main functional part of trees is not only the roots they also include leaves (for CO2) , trunk ( for functioning of xylem n phloem tissue) , that's why they disable to bind the soil.
