when we melt a candle its smoke goes in the upward direction though there is gravitational force... give reason..

Smoke is lighter than air, and hotter. So, it tends to rise upwards. But gravitational force still acts on the smoke.

Since the mass of smoke is negligible, so the gravitational force is way too less.
