When we mix quick lime and water,slaked lime is formed and energy is released....so why hissing sound is observed???????

when we mix those stuff energy is realesd that energy heats the water up to its boiling point and water starts to boil and thàt produce a sound like hissing u can observe this sound when u boil water in ur house .

When Calcium oxide reacts with water, leads to the formation of calcium hydroxide, due to this, a lot of energy is liberated in this reaction, and this energy liberates in the form of boiling water that causes the hissing sound, a high amount of energy loss makes this reaction exothermic.
