the wall is always fixed, and it's too heavy so your work is never going to be done....

Doing work is a path function and is always done if the body travels some distance. Expanding energy is different term. You should not get confused between work ad energy. Work and heat both are forms of energy. If there is no work in a process but still there is energy expanding, then obviously there must be heat output. This is in fact an in depth topic of thermodynamics. While pushing the wall there is no work done as displacement is zero, but there will be heat output. And tiredness comes because of the internal stress created causing the muscles to react to the action of pushing and fatigue.
