Yes, it is very much true that education should be skill based rather than knowledge based. As skill leads to knowledge not knowledge leads to skill. Without any skill a person can't do anything in his/her life. Even if a person has lot of knowledge about every thing but lacks skill the person is not successful in his/her life. A person can get a knowledge by simply mugging up the thing and can become a topper of a class but if he lacks skill he have to face many problems in future. A person without skills is a person without his successful future. As nowadays the persons are employed by seeing their skills to do that work. For eg. If we go into the show room to buy a car the person can tell us everything about that car but he lacks skill, he can't do the same work but whereas a similar roadside mechanic can do the work skillfully which means he has both knowledge and skills. Nowadays, as we know many vocational courses are available which can make a men both knowledgable and skillful. So all and all I want to say that education should be made skillful rather than knowledgable so that our future generations and country's future could be saved.

Hope this helps you
