When we put a sponge in water, the water goes inside the sponge. When we press the sponge, the water comes out of the sponge. How can you compare this with the function of the lungs?

OUR LUNGS ARE SIMILAR TO SPONGE IN A WAY AS WATER GOES INSIDE SPONGE AND AIR GOES INSIDE OUR LUNGS AND WE EXHALE AIR AS ON PRESSING WATER COMES OUTSIDE SPONGE AND WE EXHALE TO EXHALE CO2 SO PRESSURE OF CO2 ALSO ACTS ON OUR LUNGS .

HOPE U UNDERSTAND ☺️
