When we sit at camp fire objects beyond the fire seen swaying.Give the reason for it.

The air above the fire is simultaneously changing. It either remains hot or cool. Refractive index of cool and hot air are different. Light ray travels from media having different refractive index. Hence objects behind fire appear to be swaying.
