pressure is inversly proportional to area so when you sleep area covered is large and pressure is less so body doesn't go deep in the sand

Answer:
WHEN WE STAND ON LOOSE SAND SURFACE AREA DECREASES AS THE PRESSURE OF THE BODY ONE FEET INCREASES AND FEET SINKS
WHEN WE LIE ON LOOSE SAND SURFACE AREA INCREASES AND OUR BODY SINKS IN VERY LITTLE
PRESSURE IS INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO SURFACE AREA .
