when we take a block of butter out of the fridge ,it is quite hard .However after 15 minutes it is soft enough to spread .Why?

as it melts because of room temperature

butter is a long organic chain which has very low melting point and boiling point due to weak inter molecular bonds between the molecules of butter! thus after 15 minutes it becomes too soft!
