when we try to push a very heavy box kept on ground it does not move at all. which force is preventing this box to move forward ? where does thos force act?

That's actually the friction force in general terms friction is a force which opposes the actual force acting on the block.
Their comes the case of interlocking between the block and the ground i.e. the minute and irregular particles of the surface of the block and ground gets lock and therefore it does not move at all

This is frictional and gravitional force
gravitional force act from Earth and frictional force is from the bottom of box and earth's surface....
