when we were cover sheet exerts a force on the surface of the earth and according to the Newton's third law of motion to every action there is equal and opposite reaction so we get a normal reaction in the upward direction from the surface of the earth which makes us to move forward .

According to Newton's 3rd law of motion , " To every action , there is an equal and opposite reaction ."

When we walk , our legs provide a pushing force on the ground . The ground in return provides an equal amount of pushing force on our leg which helps us in moving forward .

So , Newton's 3rd law of motion is applicable here too !!
