First widely accepted laws of cricket or “The LAWS of the NOBLE GAME of CRICKET” called by ICC was first introduced in 30th May 1788.
- Though the first known Laws of Cricket was drafted in 1744 but since 1788 it was owned and maintained by Marylebone Cricket Club of London.
- There are currently 42 laws for playing international cricket.
- The laws have been amended 7 times till now by MCC latest in year 2017.
