The Khalifat movement (1914-23) was a pan-Islamist political protest campaign launched by muslims of british india to influence the british government not to abolish the Ottoman Caliphate.
Noncooperation movement was an unsuccessful attempt in 1920-22, organized by Mohandas Gandhi,to induce the British government of india to grant self-government, or swaraj, to india.It was one of Gandhi's first organized acts of large-scale civil disobedience(satyagraha)
