when you boil eggs and all the water evaporates they explode and sound like a gunshot.

In real life, the egg explodes or cracks and is left to burn. Eventually the water will evapotate then you just have a thuroughly cooked hardboiled egg on a conductive surface so the shell will eventually crack or exlpode from heat, leaving the egg to burn on the heat source
