Hey!!!...Here is ur answer

Chromosomes are thread-like organized structures located inside the nucleus of both animal and plant cells. Each chromosome is made of the combination of proteins and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).

Their functions/significance---Chromosomes basically control all the activities of a living cell. DNA present on the chromosome not only carries most of the genetic information but also controls the hereditary transference.

Chromosomes are essential for the process of cell division, are responsible for replication, division, and creation of daughter cells which contain correct sequences of DNA and proteins.

During cell division the chromosomes are formed inside the nucleus of the cell.

Explanation:

  • During cell division the chromatics which are present in the cell are converted into rod like structures known as chromosome.
  • The chromosomes are made up of DNA, and other proteins. hence they are essential for the nuclear  inheritance of all organisms. however they are not present in the prokaryotic organisms. The chromosomes are seen only during the cell division. The chromosome also determines the type of character  of an organism
