ITS MOSTLY LOCATED IN JAND K BECAUSE OF MOUNTAINS and DUE TO ITS CLIMATE ...

In Himalayan region, India's most of the fresh water lakes are located.
Because they are of glacial origin means that they are formed when glaciers dug out a basin which has later filled with snow melt.
