Tanks are mostly used in southern India. Especially in Andhra Pardesh and Tamil Naidu.

♥These are used there because southern region have non porus rocks which prevent the percolation of the water and can store it, hence the water can be used in summers

♥The region have natural depression

♥almost all the rivers are flooded during the rainy season therefore water can be stored
