the salivary glands are the glands responsible to create saliva that breaks down food in the first step.they are often located close to our mouth.
there are 4 types of those and they stretch down from the ear area to the jaw area.

There are four types of Salivary glands:-
(1) Parotid Salivary glands :- are located between ear and jaw.
(2) Submandibular Salivary glands:-
are located under the jaw.
(3) Sublingual Salivary glands :-
are located on the floor of mouth and under the tongue.
(4) Buccal Salivary glands: &
are located in the mucous membrane of cheeks and buccal cavity.
