He was succeeded by Harreck Chand, who is credited with having built the still surviving Kathgola Palace in Murshidabad. Harreck Chand had two sons: Indra Chand and Bishen Chand. The family treasures had almost dried up by now and the last of the JagatSheths' fabulous treasures were just memories of the past.
