Where did jobless workers or job-seekers spend their nights ?

they used to spend their night in open street or on the benches of public park or under bridges or they sleep on road & sometimes they found some orphanages for poor people and many times on stations too & face a lot of struggle untill they get a good job.

◆ Some stayed in night refuges that were set up by private individuals.

◆ Others went to the casual wards maintained by the poor law authorities.
